At ScientiaMesh, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.
Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: Email address, name, and authentication credentials
- Captured Content: Text, files, documents, web pages, voice recordings, images, and other content you save, including location when you choose to attach it. This also includes your conversations with Pixel and the content of accounts and apps you connect.
- Usage Data: How you interact with our service, including features used and API calls
- Technical Data: Device information, IP address, and browser type
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve our service
- Build and maintain your knowledge graph
- Process your content with AI models to organize it, answer your questions, and run Pixel
- Enable AI assistant integrations via MCP
- Communicate service updates and support
- Ensure security and prevent abuse
Data Security
We protect your information with measures that include:
- Encryption in transit (TLS) for connections to our service
- Encryption of stored credentials, such as access tokens for accounts you connect
- Access controls that limit each Mesh to its members and to the agents and assistants they approve
- Access to production systems limited to authorized personnel
During the Preview, captured content is not end-to-end encrypted. Our servers process it in readable form so that ScientiaMesh can organize and search it, and so that Pixel and the AI model providers described below can work with it.
ScientiaMesh has not yet had an independent security audit. We plan to add independent audits as the service grows.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share information only in these cases:
- With AI model providers that process your content to run the service, including OpenRouter and OpenAI
- With service providers that help us host, operate, secure, and improve the platform, such as hosting, network, email, analytics, and payment providers
- With people you choose, such as members of Meshes you share and people you send a share link to
- With services you connect, such as AI assistants you approve through MCP, accounts you link, and messaging apps. These services handle your information under their own terms.
- With your explicit consent
- When required by law or to protect our legal rights
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data and download an export of your knowledge graph
- Ask us to delete your account and associated data
- Opt out of non-essential communications
- Request corrections to your information
To exercise these rights, or to request a copy of data that is not in the export, contact us using the details below. Some information remains after an account is deleted: content you contributed to Meshes owned by others, anonymized billing records, and copies in backups and service-provider logs until they expire.
